Pre-print available: Comparison of metagenome-assembled and single-amplified genomes

This collaborative study of the Pinhassi-Lab (Linnaeus University, Kalmar), the KTH Royal Inst. of Technology (SciLifeLab, Stockholm) and the Ettema-Lab can now be read as early pre-print at bioRxiv.

The paper reports on the comparison of two culture-independent strategies for recovering bacterial genomes: single-amplified genomes and metagenome-assembled genomes, and its implication for in-depth analyses of uncultivated prokaryotic taxa.
